Heavy rain, strong winds, and lightning from Hurricane Beryl continue to impact the Entergy Texas service area. As of 12 p.m., 4,400+ homes and businesses are out of power in West Seattle, including High Point and Westwood. CenterPoint has posted new maps of estimated restoration days, aiming for substantial power restoration by the end. Updated as of 1:15 p.m. on July 8, power outages are still rising as Tropical Storm Beryl continues to move through the region. Houston, Texas (KTRK) reports Hurricane Beryl's landfall on Matagorda County leading to a rising number of power outages.

The landfall of Hurricane Beryl on the Texas coast has resulted in widespread power outages, with 331 active outages affecting 39,861 customers. Updates at 3:58 p.m. and 2:25 p.m. show power restoration progress, with the bulk of the outage now down to 382 customers. Almost 400,000 Texans woke up without power on Monday morning due to Hurricane Beryl.
