This year CCMS Student Council helped with the Maine Street Spooktacular event on Halloween. They volunteered to help run the pumpkin painting station, adding to the festive atmosphere of the holiday. Marissa Hatchett's preschool classroom at Medora Community Schools won the Red Ribbon Week door decorating contest, earning recognition for their creative and eye-catching design. Macopin Middle School continued its dedication to character education and student well-being through participation in the "Red Ribbon Campaign." Oct. 25-29 marked Red Ribbon Week, with Students Working Against Tobacco teams in Cherokee County distributing Red Ribbon stickers to each student. The stickers served as a visual reminder of the commitment to drug prevention and awareness, encouraging students to make positive choices and take a stand against substance abuse.

The 1st place honors for the Red Ribbon Door decorating contest went to the Pre-K class at Mendenhall Elementary, showcasing their creativity and teamwork in creating a standout design. The students' enthusiasm and dedication to the cause were evident in their entry, setting a positive example for others to follow.
